Why are we asking for support
We are asking for funds to develop our program in 2008. Our currentsources of income (mentioned at 3.3) are not sufficient to provide for all ofthese activities and to keep many activities accessible free of charge, andto keep the building open. This means that Escola Sao Paulo would like tohave support to make the continuation and development of the programpossible.
Escola Sao Paulo provides opportunities to people from Sao Paulo to haveaccess to cultural education and to a cultural space and in this way developthemselves culturally. Important artists and professionals are givingclasses, lectures and workshops. Some classes are free of charge and somestudents and teachers get scholarships to attend classes that are chargedfor. Everyone has free access to exhibitions, library and film projections.By doing this, Escola Sao Paulo contributes to the cultural development ofthe inhabitants of Sao Paulo and offers a completely new concept to the cityof Sao Paulo.
